Islamic compliance policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
These rules come from the guidelines adopted by the founder. They are enforced by how the system is built, not only by this page. The process will be reviewed by a qualified scholar before launch.
No photographs of women
There is no photo upload, gallery or paid photo access. The site rejects all file uploads. Requests to exchange photographs are flagged and may lead to an account being restricted.
Modest, factual appearance details only
Members choose their height, weight range, ethnicity and skin colour from fixed lists, and sisters choose how they dress, so the other side can make an informed choice without photographs. Free-text answers are checked for descriptions of beauty or body shape; anything flagged must be corrected or reviewed by a moderator before a profile can be approved. You can explain or appeal a flag.
No correspondence between brothers and sisters
There is no messaging or chat. A brother’s request may include one short, checked note, which the sister, her wali and administrators can read; there is no way to reply. A sister’s request carries no text. Contact details are released only through the wali-led process, and never the sister’s own.
Verification of the suitor
A brother must complete an identity check before an introduction can proceed. We show the status honestly as not started, pending, failed or complete.
The wali leads the introduction
A sister decides whether a request goes forward, whoever asked first. Her wali is then involved before any contact is made. By default an administrator contacts the wali and records his decision.
No ranking of religiosity
Suggestions are based on stated preferences and practical compatibility. Manhaj Match does not score members’ religion or claim that anyone is approved by a scholar.
