How it works
From registration to an introduction through the wali.
- Register
Create an account as a brother or a sister.
- Complete the marriage application
Answer questions about your religion, character, family and what you hope for in marriage. Your progress is saved as you go.
- Await review
An administrator reads every application. We may ask you to correct something, and approval is not guaranteed.
- Read suggested profiles
You are shown a few members who fit the preferences both of you set, and you can read their full profiles. Names, photographs and contact details are never shown, and there is no public directory.
- Express interest
If you are interested, say so. The other member reads your profile and decides.
- Proceed through the wali
When both are interested, the matter goes to the sister’s wali. Brothers and sisters do not correspond through Manhaj Match.
Joining does not guarantee a spouse or a specific number of introductions. Whether an introduction goes ahead is decided by the sister and her wali.
What happens when someone expresses interest
Approved members see a few suggestions that fit both sides’ preferences and can read their full profiles. Either may express interest. A sister must have her wali’s details and her permission to share them on file.
The other member decides whether they are interested too. When both agree, the sister’s wali is contacted and makes the decision. Only when the introduction is approved to proceed does the brother receive the wali’s contact details, and the wali receive the brother’s. The sister’s own contact details are never shared by Manhaj Match.
